One of the biggest additions to this past season’s UConn men’s basketball team has made a decision on his return.
Silas Demary Jr. will play for the Huskies during the 2026-2027 season, according to UConn’s social media post.
Demary, a Raleigh, NC native, was touted as a key addition to the team when he arrived from the transfer portal at the start of the 2025-2026 campaign. He previously played at Georgia.
For the Huskies, he averaged 10.5 points per game and 5.7 assists as a junior.
He was an All Big East First Team selection and made the Big East All-Defensive team.
Most recently, he scored 11 points, including a couple of clutch 3-pointers, in the Elite Eight comeback win over Duke on March 29. He also tipped the pass that led to the steal and Alex Karaban’s dish to Braylon Mullins for the game-sealing three.
He also helped power UConn to the championship game against Michigan.
