One of Georgia Tech’s top targets for the 2025 class made his college decision today, and it wasn’t in favor. Evan Haynes, a 2025 wide receiver from Fellowship Christian High School in Georgia, opted for North Carolina instead of Georgia Tech or Colorado.
Another major target for Georgia Tech is Haynes’ teammate, five-star offensive tackle Josh Petty.
Although it has been considered a contest between Georgia Tech and Florida State in recent months, On3 Sports recruiting expert Steve Wiltfong suggests that Brent Key and the Yellow Jackets might also be contending with a top-tier program: Ohio State.
