Breaking: Minnesota Vikings Express Great enthusiasm Over A Big News In NHL History

The Minnesota Vikings have signed 13 players to reserve/futures contracts for the 2025 season, most of whom were part of the team’s practice squad this year.

The signed players include:

quarterback Brett Rypien,

running back Zavier Scott,

linebackers Max Tooley

and Gabe Murphy,

guard Henry Byrd,

tackles Marcellus Johnson

and Leroy Watson,

wide receivers Lucky Jackson

and Thayer Thomas,

and defensive linemen Jonathan Harris

and Travis Bell,

along with cornerbacks Kahlef Hailassie

and Reddy Steward, both new additions.

Hailassie spent the last two seasons with the Cleveland Browns, appearing in 10 games and recording eight tackles and a pass defended in 2023. Steward, who played for the Chicago Bears last season, saw action in just one game this year but reportedly attracted interest from multiple teams.

Steward excelled at Troy, while Hailassie accumulated 125 tackles (11 for loss), 15 passes defended, four interceptions, three sacks, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery during his college career, which included two seasons each at Oregon and Western Kentucky. Together, these cornerbacks enhance the depth and potential of the team’s secondary. The remaining players have all spent time with the Vikings this season, primarily on the practice squad. Rypien was with the 53-man roster for most of the season before being waived to promote Daniel Jones, after which he joined the practice squad.

Murphy, an undrafted rookie, was on injured reserve but played in two games after being elevated. Jackson participated in three games for the Vikings, mainly on special teams; Johnson also played in three games and had a stint with the New York Giants; Harris appeared in seven games with the Carolina Panthers, recording 10 tackles and a fumble recovery before joining the Vikings’ practice squad in December.

Thomas has spent the last two seasons on the practice squad without being elevated, and neither Scott, Tooley, nor Byrd, who was injured while on the practice squad, played in any games for the Vikings this year.
