Notre Dame football rolls out red carpet for QB commit during Louisville showdown

The Notre Dame football team is gearing up for their matchup against the Louisville Cardinals, while also focusing on the future of the program. As part of this, one of their top quarterback commitments will be visiting South Bend during the game.

Although the Fighting Irish hoped to host two quarterback commits, Deuce Knight will instead be visiting the Auburn Tigers again, adding to his string of visits to the SEC school.

On a positive note, Noah Grubbs has chosen to visit Notre Dame once more before signing with them in the winter of 2025. Given the recent competitive nature of games between Notre Dame and Louisville, this matchup promises to be an exciting contest.

Standing at 6 feet 4 inches and weighing 188 pounds, Grubbs committed to Notre Dame on June 1st this year, making him one of the top quarterbacks in the nation. All major recruiting sites rank him among the best in his class.

While the news about Deuce Knight may not be what many fans were hoping for, it still bodes well for the Irish. Since Marcus Freeman took over, the team has successfully recruited the quarterback position and utilized the transfer portal to fill gaps.

With CJ Carr already committed, and Deuce Knight set to join in 2025 alongside Noah Grubbs from the 2026 class, the Notre Dame football team hopes to avoid relying on the transfer portal for the next few seasons.
