Will Wade’s coaching staff is now complete with the addition of Vernon Hamilton, who worked with Wade at McNeese. Hey, remember Vernon Hamilton? The speedy guard at Clemson from back in the day? You do? Damn, you’re old. (I’m just talking to myself here.)
Hamilton is relatively new to the coaching ranks, and has spent four years working with Wade—two at LSU, two at McNeese. There was a one-year stint at Georgetown in between. He became an assistant coach for the first time at McNeese.
NC State previously had announced the additions of Brandon Chambers and Adam Howard to Wade’s staff. Toss in new program GM Andrew Slater and State has more coaches on staff than it has players on the roster.
A fun fact that hopefully will not remain a fun fact for much longer. Having a full staff of assistants in place should help with that.
