Will Howard thought on Ohio State Buckeyes in 2024 season.

When asked what the squad should anticipate in 2024, the new quarterback for the Buckeyes didn’t hold back.

Going into the 2024 season, the Ohio State Buckeyes have maybe the best roster in the nation. It’s exhilarating, no doubt, but it also puts a great deal of strain on the squad.

This year, really, anything less than a championship will be disappointing, and Ohio State’s new quarterback, Will Howard, has raised the bar even higher.

According to Zach Barnett of Football Scoop, Howard stated, “For us, it’s natty or bust.” “I mean, I’m not even slightly unsure.”

That applies to most people, but when the expected starting quarterback says it aloud, it resonates differently.

Howard is set to start at quarterback for the Buckeyes against Akron on August 31. Howard is transferring from Kansas State.

Ironically, despite Ohio State’s strong roster, the quarterback position remains a possible source of concern.

Although the Buckeyes have a very good collection of signal-callers, it’s unclear if any of the club’s quarterbacks have what it takes to lead the team to a national championship.

In his last season at Kansas State, Howard was mediocre at best. He completed 61.3 percent of his passes for 2,643 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 2023. In addition, he ran for 351 yards and nine touchdowns.

“All the talent is here. All the intangibles are with us,” Howard continued. “All we have to do now is go do it. I’m sick of hearing about our team’s brilliance and excellence. It all comes down to our daily work habits and work ethic, and I believe we’re doing everything we can to position ourselves to succeed at the end of the year. Now is the time to put it into practice.

Howard is obviously aware of what must be done. You have the impression that everyone else in the ballclub is on the same page.

However, we won’t truly know how powerful Ohio State is until they take the field in 2024—though you have to admit, the Buckeyes seem fairly intimidating.
