The path to the FCS Championship is paved for South Dakota football, finding out its fate during the FCS Selection Show.
The Coyotes ended the regular season with a 9-2 record, finishing as Missouri Valley Football Conference champions for the first time in program history.
This marks the second consecutive season the ‘Yotes have earned a top-four seed. South Dakota says they are embracing the opportunity to continue its season and play at home.
I’m just excited we’re playing in the playoffs and obviously to be one of the top four seeds means you’re home at least to the semifinals, “I didn’t know how it was going to shake out. Honestly, I figured the top four somewhere.” South Dakota football head coach Bob Nielson said.
USD will host the winner of #13 Tarleton State and Drake on Saturday, December 7th at 2:00 p.m.
