Virginia Tech Hokies Receive Massive Recruitment News On Elite 4-star Significant Player
Virginia Tech has wrapped up its first important recruiting weekend of the month, with head coach Brent Pry and his team hosting several key prospects. It’s clear that attention is on Pry not only for the Hokies performance on the field this year but also for their recruiting efforts in the Class of 2026.

Currently, Pry has four commitments, with the standout being four-star wide receiver Carnell Warren from South Carolina. More commitments are expected as the month progresses and players finalize their decisions before their senior seasons. Among those visiting was four-star defensive lineman Elijah Golden, who left his trip to Blacksburg impressed with the Hokies.
Golden, a 6-foot-3.5, 205-pound defensive lineman from Cardinal Mooney in Florida, was on campus over the weekend and felt positive about the experience. He is ranked 107th overall by 247Sports in the Class of 2026 and has additional visits planned before making his decision. He will visit Oklahoma this weekend, followed by a trip to Alabama on June 13, and will conclude his visits with Notre Dame on June 20.
Having recorded 10 sacks last season, Golden is expected to be an impactful player from day one, which is exactly what Virginia Tech needs. However, the Hokies face a tough challenge in his recruitment with several major programs still in the running.
