USC Football News: Woody Marks Named Starting Running Back for Trojans

The starting running back for the Trojans will be Woody Marks, according to head coach Lincoln Riley. This season, Marks—a transfer from Mississippi State—should improve USC’s running attack and offer a more well-rounded offensive strategy.

Woody Marks, who transfers from Mississippi State to play for USC, is a highly experienced and versatile running back. Riley told the press that he made this decision because, as one of those positions, it can be difficult to evaluate when plays aren’t played in real time.

However, Marks has established himself as the starter and has amassed over 3,100 scrimmage yards and 27 touchdowns in his time at Mississippi State. In limited action last season, Marks averaged 63.7 rushing yards per game.
