Denver point guard Jamal Murray has entered the concussion protocol following a collision with Minnesota’s Julius Randle in the third quarter that led to his exit from the game.
Murray was making a cut in the lane with Anthony Edwards defending him when Randle, trying to follow Aaron Gordon, accidentally hit Murray in the nose with his shoulder. The impact caused Murray’s head to snap back into Edwards, and he doubled over in pain while the play continued. He eventually came out of the game four possessions later during a timeout and went to the locker room for further evaluation. In the game, Murray recorded six points on 2-for-7 shooting along with three assists in 22 minutes of play.
