Update: Kentucky Wildcats Receive Big News Wednesday Evening On Two Key Players
A fresh group of Kentucky Wildcats is making its way to Lexington, with guards Jaland Lowe and Denzel Aberdeen arriving on Wednesday to kick off their summer training. They are joining big man Jayden Quaintance, who arrived in May and is already getting comfortable at the Joe Craft Center.
Aberdeen celebrated his arrival by sharing an Instagram Story featuring his new locker, where he’ll be donning the No. 1 jersey this year. He captioned the post, “Blessed. Let’s get it.”

Standing at 6-foot-5, Aberdeen joins Kentucky after contributing to Florida’s national championship victory last season. In his junior year, he averaged 7.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists, with shooting percentages of 41.8% from the floor and 35% from beyond the arc.
Lowe, a 6-foot-2 point guard, adds scoring and playmaking skills following a standout sophomore season at Pitt. He averaged 16.8 points, 5.5 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game in 2024-25, earning All-ACC Third-Team recognition. He was also ranked No. 25 in the transfer portal by ESPN this offseason after briefly exploring the NBA Draft before deciding to continue his college journey in Lexington.
