The Cleveland Guardians pulled off a thrilling victory in Game 3 of the ALCS, defeating the Yankees 7-5 in 10 innings with a walk-off home run from David Fry. This marked the fourth game-tying or go-ahead homer hit with two outs in the eighth inning or later. The first two came from Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton off Emmanuel Clase, who suffered his second blown save of the playoffs. Despite the tough outing, he took to Instagram to showcase his achievements.

Clase donned four impressive rings, including an All-Star ring, and took some trophies out of their cases—an All-MLB award and a Reliever of the Year trophy among them.
He is likely to add another Reliever of the Year title following his outstanding regular season, where he led the league with 47 saves and posted a remarkable 0.69 ERA. However, the postseason has not treated him as well. In Game 2 of the ALDS, the Guardians and Tigers were locked in a scoreless tie heading into the ninth inning. After the Tigers’ Tarik Skubal, a top Cy Young candidate, threw seven shutout innings, Clase faced trouble in the ninth.
Kerry Carpenter hit a three-run homer, securing the win for the Tigers and casting doubt on Clase’s previously strong performance. Despite his Cy Young-caliber campaign, in which he allowed only two home runs all season, Clase gave up two in just a matter of minutes on Thursday night, raising concerns about the Guardians’ bullpen. ⚾️🔍
