£21m transfer update emerges as Everton eye Jarrad Branthwaite replacement
Galatasaray will be looking for a fee north of £21million if they are to sell Everton target Davinson Sanchez
The media site said on May 20 that the Toffees are considering replacing Jarrad Branthwaite, who is linked to Manchester United, with the former Tottenham center defender. When the transfer market opens, West Ham, Fulham, and Napoli are also interested in signing the Colombian international.
Everton must look for alternatives to Davinson Sanchez
Sanchez’s asking price of £21 million is definitely high, especially in light of his difficulties while playing for Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. Even though he has had some success with Galatasaray, it’s possible that his level of play in the Turkish league will not transfer to the Premier League. Although it seems sense that the Toffees would be interested in signing Sanchez to replace Branthwaite, who is drawing interest from elite teams like Manchester United, the steep asking price for the 27-year-old may not be justified considering his patchy prior performance history.
The club has other options available to it in the market, including young, talented defenders who are more affordable and have greater room for development. Everton may be able to find a more long-term and affordable answer to their defense requirements by looking into these options.
Sean Dyche won’t want to lose Branthwaite, so it’s unclear what the future holds for him. In other Everton news, as the purchase of the club descends into even more uncertainty, 777 Partners’ “prison” verdict has been revealed.
