Hubert Ira Davis Jr. and the UNC Program Shares Major News Involving Former Five-Star in Transfer Portal

Despite a 14-19 finish for the California Golden Bears in the 2024-25 season, sophomore guard Andrej Stojakovic emerged as a bright spot.
Stojakovic logged 33.4 minutes per outing and led the team with 17.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists across 29 games.
His defensive impact (1.2 blocks per game) and scoring efficiency, shooting 42.7% from the field, 31.8% from deep, and 81.8% from the free-throw line, showcased his two-way upside.
On April 17, Stojakovic officially re-entered the NCAA transfer portal with a “do not contact” status, indicating that he’s already aligning his options.
After, National Basketball Analyst for 247Sports, Travis Branham, reported via X that he has been in contact with the North Carolina Tar Heels.
UNC has been in contact with California G Andrej Stojakovic, per Travis Branham.

Stojakovic was a former five-star recruit coming out of Jesuit High School in Carmichael, California, per 247Sports.
UNC first chased Stojakovic out of high school and again pursued the 6-foot-7 wing last offseason.
His blend of size, scoring versatility and playmaking would coincide with Hubert Davis’s need for perimeter shooting and athleticism on the wing.
Aside from the Tar Heels, Stojakovic has been linked to other major programs like Florida, Clemson, LSU, UConn and Duke.
Should he don the Carolina blue, Stojakovic would immediately factor into the starting lineup, addressing depth concerns and helping space the floor alongside UNC’s veteran guards.
With two years of eligibility left, his arrival could shift the balance in next season’s loaded ACC race.
As the portal window narrows, a decision is expected soon, one that could bring Cal’s leading scorer to Chapel Hill.
