Two Nebraska signees have been recognized as Gatorade national players of the year in their respective states. Conor Booth earned the award for Nebraska, while Kade Pietrzak was honored for North Dakota.
Booth had an impressive season as he gets ready for his college career, finishing with 266 carries for 2,956 yards and 50 touchdowns. Over four years, he accumulated a total of 545 carries for 6,093 yards and 99 touchdowns, according to high school statistics from Maxpreps.
On the other hand, Pietrzak had a strong senior year, accumulating 58 total tackles, 26 tackles for loss, and five sacks while contributing on both offense and defense. His junior season was also notable, where he recorded 72 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, and two sacks.
