USC Trojans star women’s basketball player JuJu Watkins has emerged as one of the standout names in women’s basketball, boasting impressive stats over the past two years.
Watkins has made a significant impact on the college game, challenging the dominance of players like Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. Her exceptional on-court entertainment value has made her one of the most discussed athletes in college basketball, regardless of gender.

In addition to her impressive performance, she is on track to achieve a notable milestone.
If she maintains her current level of play this season, Watkins could accomplish something that hasn’t been achieved in either men’s or women’s basketball in 25 years.
According to OptaSTATS on X, Watkins has the potential to be the first player in college basketball history to average at least 24.0 points, 3.0 assists, 2.0 steals, and 2.0 blocks in a single season.
JuJu Watkins – currently averaging 24.7 points, 3.6 assists, 2.1 steals and 2.0 blocks per game – would be the first DI basketball player (men's or women's) to average at least 24.0 points, 3.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.0 blocks in season in the last 25 years. pic.twitter.com/ng5kRoKQW2

From an outside perspective, she appears well-positioned to maintain her impressive averages. Watkins has shown no indication of slowing down throughout the season.
In addition to her notable statistics, she has been shooting 43.2% from the field and has converted 33.9% of her three-point attempts.
Although Watkins won’t be eligible for the draft until 2027, teams are already eager to secure her services.
As she continues to excel in women’s college basketball leading up to that draft, she may also challenge Caitlin Clark for several significant records during this time.
