One proposal calls for the Toronto Maple Leafs to acquire a star forward in order to strengthen their roster before the trade deadline.
Users can make their own trades using the PuckGM tool on the website PuckPedia. One user suggested a trade in which Oliver Bjorkstrand would be acquired by the Maple Leafs from the Seattle Kraken.

In exchange for an NHL player and a first-round pick, Toronto would purchase Bjorkstrand to strengthen its offense.
Bjorkstrand could help the team make two playoff runs because he is in the fourth year of a five-year, $27 million contract. As a middle-six forward for the Maple Leafs, the 29-year-old could assist
Daniel Sprong, a veteran forward, was acquired by Seattle from the Vancouver Canucks.
After spending parts of two seasons in Seattle before departing the team in free agency, Sprong was traded to the Kraken in March 2022. To strengthen the offense, Sprong was re-acquired after a year away.Ron Francis, general manager of Kraken, stated, “We felt he was worth the gamble because he scored 20 for us.” We are aware that we can use him at any position in the lineup. He is available for the power play. He knows our team and our system, and he plays with a quick pace.
This season, Sprong skated in nine games for the Canucks, scoring one goal and dishing out two assists.
