The New York Giants may not be as distant from contention as their record suggests.
While their performance isn’t impressive, the film shows potential.
However, it also highlights Daniel Jones as a major problem.
Jones has repeatedly failed to deliver, and it’s tough to find another player who has been given so many chances to demonstrate his abilities.
This is why Giants icon Tiki Barber is frustrated with him.
Recently, Barber stated that he doesn’t believe Daniel Jones is “that guy.”

Thoughts?

He expressed regret about his feelings because he genuinely likes Jones as a person and wants him to succeed, yet he doubts Jones has what it takes to be a top player.
Barber pointed out that whenever the spotlight is on Jones, he’s expected to step up and lead the team, but he often falls short.
While Jones isn’t the sole cause of the team’s struggles, he frequently misses open receivers and commits turnovers.
With enough games to analyze, people can create excuses for him regarding the offensive line, limited receiving options, or injuries.
However, the reality is that Daniel Jones hasn’t consistently played well, and last season, the Giants’ offense functioned better with an undrafted rookie quarterback than it did with their starting QB.
