Texas Tech Reveals New Football Jerseys Under Partnership With Adidas, Patrick Mahomes

Texas Tech is set to debut new apparel for the 2024-25 season with a fresh partnership. After a longstanding relationship with Under Armour since 2009, the university has initiated a new 10-year alliance with Adidas commencing on July 1, as confirmed by both parties. This collaboration designates Adidas as the official provider of footwear, uniforms, apparel, and accessories for the university.

The football team, previously outfitted by Under Armour since 2006, is one of the earliest programs at Texas Tech to unveil new jerseys under the Adidas partnership.

Additionally, former Red Raider and current Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, an Adidas partner since 2017, played a significant role in establishing the new partnership and expressed his excitement for the updated uniforms on social media. As a component of this collaboration, Mahomes’s ‘Gladiator’ logo will be showcased on co-branded Adidas Texas Tech merchandise, which will be available for purchase.

Mahomes, who has a background in both football and baseball at Texas Tech, was the first to announce the university’s transition to an Adidas school by recalling a shirt he wore to a Red Raider basketball game in 2019.
To commemorate the first day of the new partnership, the brand symbolically “ripped off the tape” as part of a continued theme.

In addition to the introduction of new uniforms and footwear, Texas Tech athletes will have the opportunity to participate in Adidas’ NIL ambassador network, which enables athletes at all Division-I Adidas partner schools to receive a share of sales they generate from products and campaigns. Over 12,000 students have already taken part in and benefited from this network.

While the uniforms for all Texas Tech sports programs will be unveiled in the following months, the football team will showcase its updated look in their game against Abilene Christian in Lubbock on Aug. 31.
