Who will be the Starting QB for Texas A&M football?
As Texas A&M prepares for its upcoming match against Bowling Green, head coach Mike Elko is keeping his quarterback strategy close to his chest. This approach comes after impressive play from backup Marcel Reed against Florida, which has led to significant speculation about the Aggies’ QB plans. Conner Weigman, the starting quarterback, was injured, giving Reed a chance to excel.
Although Reed performed well, it raises questions about who will lead the team when Weigman returns. Elko, known for his game-time decision-making, suggested that the uncertainty regarding the quarterback position might persist throughout the season.
“Yeah, I think so. And I think people who get to know me know that it’s probably going to be a game-time decision for the rest of the season,” Elko said during The Aggie Football Hour.
He highlighted the confidentiality of their internal discussions, indicating that decisions will remain private.
