One of the newest members of Texas A&M Football was arrested Sunday night in College Station. Aggies transfer WR Mario Craver was arrested Sunday night and charged with possession of a controlled substance between 1-4 grams.
Craver was later released on an $8,000 bond. If convicted, Craver may find himself facing a fine of $10,000 and up to 10 years in federal prison.
Craver was in the passenger seat of a vehicle that was pulled over for speeding, where the driver was allegedly going 51 miles per hour in a 40 mile per hour zone. The officers then proceeded to search the vehicle, where according to police 3 vape pens were found. Just 1 of the 3 vapes found tested positive for THC, with the positive one being found in Craver’s possession.

Craver, 19, was one of the biggest bright spots of the offseason for the Aggies, as the former 4 star recruit transferred from Mississippi State earlier this year. Posting 17 catches for 368 yards and 3 touchdowns, Craver was one of the lone contributors on a lackluster MSU team.
With Terry Bussey being the only returning WR with true experience, Craver was expected to impact the Aggies offense right away as an explosive playmaker. If Craver is unable to play by the start of camp, the Aggies will turn to other freshly acquired wideouts such as Jonah Wilson, Micah Hudson, and Kevin Concepcion as replacements.
Texas A&M has not made a statement regarding Mario Craver’s arrest.
