Talented star breaks down Miami Hurricanes heading into 2024 season

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — This week, EJ Manuel, an ACC analyst and former NFL quarterback, attended Miami Hurricanes practices as they prepare for the upcoming 2024 season. He shared his thoughts on the team and highlighted ACC Preseason Player of the Year, Cam Ward.

“This is my second time seeing him this offseason, as I also called the spring game, which was competitive,” Manuel remarked. “The players’ physiques align with what you expect, and if you step away from the technical aspects, they certainly look the part. When they arrive, Miami resembles a true Miami football team. I believe Cam Ward’s presence will instill a lot of confidence in the team due to his consistency, experience, and leadership—qualities that are essential in a quarterback.

On the defensive side, Manuel expressed particular interest in how the team performs against Florida. “I’m confident the offense will come together, but I want to see how the defensive front rotates. The starters are solid, especially with players like Rueben Bain, who is an all-conference talent. However, I’m curious about the rotational players and their ability to maintain production as the game progresses, particularly in the second and third quarters.”
