Highly Conflicting as Steelers QB Mentioned in Donald Trump Trial

Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been mentioned in a significant legal case – the trial of former United States President Donald Trump, who is accused of manipulating business records related to hush money payments to an adult film actress.

Stormy Daniels, the adult film actress who alleges she had a sexual encounter with Trump and was paid for her silence, testified that she was introduced to Roethlisberger by Trump during a weekend at Lake Tahoe, where Trump was attending a golf tournament. This information was reported by Tyler McBrien, managing editor at LawFare, who is present in the courtroom.

According to Daniels, the introduction occurred in a nightclub where Trump was with Roethlisberger, referring to Daniels as “his little friend Stormy” to Roethlisberger, nicknamed “Big Ben.” During this encounter, Roethlisberger allowed Daniels to try on his Super Bowl ring. Trump also mentioned wanting to get Daniels a spot on The Apprentice.

The incident took place shortly after Roethlisberger and the Steelers won Super Bowl XL against the Seattle Seahawks, with a score of 21-10.

Daniels mentioned in her testimony that this was not the only time she met Roethlisberger. In her 2018 book “Full Disclosure,” she wrote that Roethlisberger requested a “good night kiss” and lingered outside her hotel room door for several minutes after escorting her back post the nightclub encounter in 2006.

While Roethlisberger’s involvement is minimal, it is part of a larger narrative involving the alleged misuse of funds by Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for President in 2024, for making hush money payments.
