State Dealt with More Unfortunate News
Oklahoma State and Steve Lutz are on the board.
The Cowboys have secured their first commitment out of the transfer portal as Mississippi State guard Kanye Clary signed with the Cowboys, as first reported by On3.
The 5-foot-11 guard from Virginia Beach averaged 6.3 points, 1.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.1 steals in seven games played this past season. He started four games for the Bulldogs before suffering a season-ending leg injury.
Clary played his first two seasons at Penn State. As a sophomore, he averaged 16.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists and a steal a game as a sophomore. He’s a former four-star prospect.
In the 2023-24 season, Clary started 20 games for Penn State and averaged 16.7 points per while shooting 38% from 3. He scored at least 20 points in 10 games and had a career-high 29 points against Ryder.
Clary is the first commitment for Oklahoma State this offseason. The Cowboys are losing eight scholarship seniors and already have one departure in the transfer portal, so he won’t be the last pickup.
