St. Louis Blues Stranded in Winnipeg Ahead of Next Game Due to Plane Safety Protocols
The St. Louis Blues head back home for a must-win Game 6 against the Winnipeg Jets, but their return has been delayed due to their plane being stranded.
After a fantastic five games thus far in their first-round series, the St. Louis Blues and Winnipeg Jets are headed back to St. Louis for a Game 6 as the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference looks to stay alive.
Unfortunately, they’ve had a bit of a hiccup in making that happen, as reports are now that the Blues plane has been stranded in Winnipeg, with the team unable to fly home at this point in time as they are currently broken down on the tarmac.

It’s highly likely that they’ll find themselves a new plane or get this one up and running again, but for a team that just suffered a brutal loss in Game 5 who are looking to head home, this is the last thing in the world that they want to be dealing with.
Despite the Game 5 loss, there is still plenty of belief within this group even as the No. 8 seed, with Head Coach Jim Montgomery expressing confidence and belief in this group.
I believe in our group. We’ve done it for two-and-a-half months. There’s no reason to believe that we’re not going to be coming out full force and trying to force a Game 7.
We believe. #stlblues pic.twitter.com/59lvWdxEVI

Hopefully the team can manage to get home in time to get comfortable and push a Game 7, and while the team certainly wouldn’t use this as an excuse if they lose that game, it’s definitely not the ideal way to be dealing with travel the day after a tough loss.
