Georgia is gaining momentum with two in-state five-star defensive linemen: Justus Terry from Manchester and Elijah Griffin from Savannah Christian, both of whom Garrett mentioned in his recent update as players he’s assisting Georgia with in their recruitment.
“We’re just sharing what we love about Georgia. They’re aware of what we know,” he said. “It’s really just a matter of time now.”
Garrett, Gibson, Griffin, and Terry—along with a significant portion of the recruiting class—are all from Georgia and choosing to stay in-state. Garrett emphasized his desire to represent his home state at the collegiate level, a message he’s been sharing with Griffin and Terry as well.
“We communicate regularly, though not every day. I try to encourage them by saying that as a Georgia guy, it’s important to stay home and support the G,” he stated.
Garrett’s latest visit to Georgia was for his official visit from June 7-9, where he committed to Kirby Smart and Tray Scott before the visit concluded. He missed the cookout due to a conflict with his Prince Avenue team, but plans to attend Georgia games frequently this fall. While his schedule isn’t finalized, he’s likely to attend the Georgia-Clemson game and will return to Athens next week for the home opener.
