Sensational Elite Alabama Star Visits Los Angeles Rams Prior To Draft

The Los Angeles Rams have apparently met with former Alabama running back Jase McClellan for a pre-draft visit. McClellan has visited a total of nine teams ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft, including the Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Chargers, Baltimore Ravens, New Orleans Saints, Jacksonville Jaguars, Carolina Panthers, and Minnesota Vikings, as per Aaron Wilson of KPRC2.

Standing at 5 feet 10 inches, the running back played a significant role in the Crimson Tide’s offense during Nick Saban’s final season in 2023. Overcoming a career setback due to a torn ACL earlier in his college years, McClellan showcased his talent by achieving 655 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in 2022, followed by 803 rushing yards and six touchdowns in 2023.

In total, McClellan concluded his collegiate journey with 341 carries for 1,894 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns, maintaining an average of 5.6 yards per carry. Additionally, he exhibited his versatility by making 38 receptions for 398 yards and six touchdowns as a receiving threat out of the backfield.

In 2023, the Rams had a potent rushing game led by Kyren Williams. Williams excelled as the primary rusher, accumulating 1,144 yards in only 12 games with an impressive average of 5.6 yards per carry. He achieved a 100-yard rushing performance in half of the games he participated in. Since Matthew Stafford’s arrival in 2021, the Rams have topped the NFL rankings in rushing, averaging 120.3 yards per game.

However, the Rams might consider selecting another running back in the upcoming draft. Even though Williams had a strong showing last season, his absence in four games highlights the need for depth at the position. If McClellan impresses the Los Angeles team, they may opt to draft him in the later rounds to bolster their running back corps.
