SEALED & DELIVERED: Forward Seal Will Join Georgetown’s ’24 Class

Following his recent commitment to the Georgetown Hoyas, forward Seal Diouf from the Netherlands has decided to reclassify from the 2025 to the 2024 recruiting class. He is anticipated to arrive on the Hilltop soon to join Ed Cooley and the team.

Just a few weeks ago, when the Hoyas were facing uncertainty regarding their front-court depth, Diouf became a target for Ed Cooley’s recruiting efforts and was the first 2025 recruit to commit to Georgetown. Now, he joins a strong 2024 class that includes Thomas Sorber, Kayvan Mulready, and Caleb Williams.

Additionally, Julius Halaifonua, who committed on Monday, adds to the team’s international big men. The Hoyas are now equipped with some young height.

Cooley has also brought in transfers Jordan Burks, Curtis Williams Jr., Malik Mack, and Micah Peavy. Drew McKenna is expected to make his debut, while Drew Fielder and Jayden Epps are the only returning players with experience at Georgetown. Standing at approximately 6’9″, Seal Diouf is currently ranked as the 35th center in the Class of 2025. He is a physically gifted player who excels in running the floor and protecting the rim, skills that will significantly enhance the Georgetown roster.

It’s my dream to make an impact at the next level. While people appreciate my activity near the rim, I’m eager to improve other aspects of my game.”

Seal Diouf, originally from the Netherlands, plays for the men’s national team in FIBA and is multilingual, speaking Dutch, French, and English.

Although he was unable to participate in the Peach Jam with Vegas Elite due to an injury, he played a vital role in helping the team qualify for the prestigious tournament.

During Session 4 in Kansas City, Vegas Elite had to fight hard to secure their spot, with Diouf averaging 11.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game, contributing to the team’s 3-2 record.

During Nike EYBL Session 4, Seal Diouf, a key player for Vegas Elite, averaged impressive stats that helped his team secure a spot in the Peach Jam tournament. Over the course of five games, Diouf put up 11.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game, while shooting an outstanding 70.9% from the field in 22.5 minutes per contest.

Diouf, who stands at 6’9″, showcased his versatility and efficiency on the offensive end. “I can score easily from anywhere,” he said. “But it’s really just who’s open. I’m a great passer too. I try to look for my teammates. But really, I just play hard, and I don’t think there’s anyone who plays harder than me. I try to make the winning play every time, whether that’s me or my teammates. I try to contribute to winning.
