Journey

Originally from the Paris area, Mohamed began playing basketball at age 15. After training at the BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque and Orléans centers, he decided to pursue opportunities in the United States in 2019, though his plans were hampered by Covid. In 2021, he joined Garden City Junior College, where a successful season caught the attention of NCAA teams, leading him to choose the Missouri Tigers.

However, after not getting enough playing time, he transferred to North Carolina State, where he became a key player, averaging 6.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, and over one block per game with a rating of 12.9. His 2023-2024 season included an outstanding performance during March Madness 2024, reaching the semi-finals.

Although he went undrafted, he competed in the Summer League with the Lakers, playing three games with an average of 5.4 points and 4 rebounds over 12 minutes.

This off-season, in high demand, Mohamed Diarra opted for Limoges CSP, where he will share the center position with French international Alexandre Chassang. He will wear the number… 93

Limoges placed 13th out of 18 teams last season, finishing with a record of 14-18.

Diarra transferred to NC State from Missouri during the last off-season. He played a crucial role for NC State throughout the year, averaging 6.3 points and 7.8 rebounds (the highest on the team). His performance in March was particularly impressive, as he recorded over 10 rebounds in 7 of the Wolfpack’s 10 postseason games, including five double-doubles.

Diarra also participated in the 2024 NBA Summer League with the Los Angeles Lakers.
