This past season, Eyanson got nine starts in 14 games. He finished with a 6-2 record, 3.07 ERA, and 85 strikeouts in that span of time. After going 2-1 with a 4.34 ERA in eight games as a rookie in 2023, it was quite the breakthrough.

In 2024, Eyanson was named to the second team of the Big West, and his opponent batting average of.190 placed him fourth in the conference. He will join Jay Johnson’s team in Baton Rouge with two years of eligibility remaining.

LSU, which finished 43-23 last year and lost to North Carolina in the regional round, has added Anthony Eyanson as a new transfer. As the Tigers continue to recruit players from the transfer market, former Incarnate Word standout Dalton Beck confirmed his commitment earlier this month. Daniel Dickinson, a possible 2025 MLB Draft prospect, is also headed from Utah Valley.

LSU’s 2023 national title run came to an abrupt stop in the Chapel Hill regional against North Carolina. Jay Johnson talked about how he will remember the 2024 campaign after the team’s final defeat and emphasized the caliber of talent the Tar Heels have to win.

Regarding LSU’s future, Johnson expressed optimism about what is in store. He mentioned that the Tigers are “right there” as a potential contender.

Johnson remarked, “My heart is full right now, but I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of great teams and go a little further than this.” As I mentioned, I’m depressed. I’m so depressed. You know, I would do whatever to prepare for Super Regionals at home and practice on Wednesday. But these guys are to blame. If you coach for long enough, you might be able to figure out why we were a little bit more resilient than the ordinary individual.

However, to exit it, as if no one ever did it. (UNC) could prevail. They are equipped to take home the national championship. They are designed for the Omaha ballpark. They are excellent coaches. And we are there, exactly.
