The Vegas Golden Knights acquired forward Reilly Smith from the New York Rangers on Thursday in exchange for forward Brendan Brisson and a third-round draft pick in 2025, according to multiple reports.

Smith previously played six seasons (2017-23) for Vegas and was part of the team that won the 2023 Stanley Cup. Smith, 33, has 10 goals and 29 points in 58 games this season for the Rangers.

Smith is slated to become a free agent after the season.

Brisson, 23, was a first-round selection (No. 29 overall) in the 2020 draft. He has played in 24 NHL games, including nine scoreless appearances this season. He had two goals and eight points overall.

He has played in 45 games with the Henderson Silver Knights of the American Hockey League this season. He has five goals and 19 points.
