Rams Receive Exciting Injury Update on Star Receiver Ahead of Week 7 Matchup

Rams’ Joe Noteboom Receives Promising Health Update

Joe Noteboom, an offensive lineman for the Los Angeles Rams, is reportedly close to returning from injury while currently on IR. Head coach Sean McVay indicated that Noteboom will undergo a workout on Monday, which will determine if the Rams can open his practice window, according to Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic.

Noteboom was placed on injured reserve on Sept. 11 due to an ankle injury sustained during the Rams’ 26-20 loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 1. The Rams’ offensive line has faced significant challenges early this season, dealing with multiple injuries.

Noteboom, along with teammates Rob Havestein, Steve Avila, Alaric Jackson, Conor McDermott, Jonah Jackson, and KT Leveston, has missed time due to injuries. Currently, Avila, Leveston, McDermott, and Jonah Jackson are also on IR.

Having missed the last four games, Noteboom is now eligible to come off IR. With a bye week in Week 6, the Rams hope to be healthier for their Week 7 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. They entered the bye week with a disappointing 1-4 record and need to improve in the remaining 12 games to keep playoff hopes alive.

While Noteboom may return this week, McVay does not anticipate Avila participating in practice. Avila sustained a knee injury during the Week 1 loss and had surgery to repair a torn MCL. The Rams originally expected him back in November.

“He’s doing well. I saw Steve in the team meeting today,” McVay mentioned regarding Avila. “I’m not exactly sure what his timeline for return is, but he’s making good progress. He looks good, and I know he’s done a great job with Reggie and his group so far.”

Due to the offensive line injuries, quarterback Matthew Stafford has been sacked 16 times this season. Since Avila and Noteboom were placed on IR, Stafford has faced at least three sacks per game in each of the last four games.
