NC State Football: Louisville High School Athlete Sets Up Announcement for College Choice
The NC State football team is looking to secure a commitment from a promising center from Louisville Male High School in Kentucky. The son of a former NFL player is set to announce his college decision on Instagram Live at 5 p.m. ET Thursday.
It appears that NC State is currently the frontrunner among his top three choices, which also include South Carolina and Kentucky.
Sowells has already personally informed each of the three schools about his decision before his public announcement. This suggests that NC State may have the inside track to secure his commitment.
Sowells, a three-star player ranked at No. 834 overall and No. 51 in his position on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, has made two visits to NC State football this year, including an official visit just a few weeks ago.
The 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions still favor Dave Doeren and the Pack. Additionally, the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently gives NC State a 71.4 percent likelihood of securing Sowells’ commitment.
