JUST IN: Packers Again Urged to Sign Former Titans QB Star

The Green Bay Packers have not taken any steps to acquire another quarterback after Jordan Love’s injury. There is hope that Love might be able to play again without missing any games, yet there are calls for the Packers to consider signing a former starter from the Tennessee Titans.

Bleacher Report recently advocated for the Packers to sign Ryan Tannehill once more.

The article emphasizes that the Packers cannot rely solely on Malik Willis and Sean Clifford for several weeks, asserting that **Ryan Tannehill is the best available option**. At 36, Tannehill has previously posted impressive stats and brings considerable experience compared to Willis and Clifford, who have yet to throw a touchdown and have three interceptions between them.

Even if Love can return by Week 2, which seems unlikely, it would be prudent for the Packers to secure a more reliable backup for the season. Tannehill could be ready to step in if needed.

Willis and Clifford are not ideal starting choices for a team aiming for a Super Bowl. While both have potential, they lack the presence necessary for consistent victories.

Although Tannehill might not lead the Packers to a Super Bowl, he could serve as a competent game manager, enabling the team to remain competitive and allowing other players to contribute to wins.

It’s probable that the Packers will not sign Tannehill and will continue with Willis and Clifford until Love is back. They may later regret this choice.

However, if the front office decides to seek more stable support behind Love, even after he returns, Tannehill would be the top option unless they consider trading.

It will be intriguing to monitor how the Packers perform for the remainder of the season, with hopes that Love will return in the coming weeks.

As for Tannehill, it appears he will stay a free agent, waiting for the right opportunity to arise during the season.
