Purdue is set to introduce fresh uniforms for the upcoming 2024 college football season, and the team has disclosed the official reveal date. After much anticipation, Purdue fans can mark their calendars for Thursday, July 11, when the Boilermaker football squad will showcase its new attire.
Over the weekend, Purdue’s social media team posted a video announcing the unveiling of the team’s new uniforms on Thursday. Enthusiastic discussions about the upcoming look have been ongoing, and fans are eagerly looking forward to witnessing the new style.
Coach Ryan Walters, who is gearing up for his second season with the program in 2024, is eagerly anticipating the introduction of the new uniforms.
“I was blown away. I was very pleased and I’m excited to show the world and show Boilermaker Nation what the new (uniforms) look like,” Walters says in the video.
“Coach Walters, when he came in, he knew exactly what he wanted. He wanted a great brand identity for Purdue football,” said associate director of equipment Kyle Gergely. “So, really just whenever you flipped on the TV you knew it was Purdue football playing without having to really look.”

The video suggests that the new uniforms may evoke a nostalgic Purdue vibe, but it didn’t offer any further details.
Ryan Long, the director of creative, explained, “Essentially, Kyle had a multitude of vintage jerseys, pants, and helmets displayed on all the tables. We painstakingly examined those items to pinpoint the elements that truly represent Purdue football.”
Before long, Purdue fans will have the opportunity to see the new design for themselves. Walters is optimistic that everyone will be pleased with the uniform choice.
“I think they’ll be satisfied and happy with the direction we took,” Walters said.
