Purdue Boilermakers Receives Massive Transfer Portal News

Purdue adds another veteran defensive back with starting experience via transfer

Former Nevada cornerback Brown committed to the Boilermakers on Thursday. He has one season of eligibility remaining after spending four seasons (one redshirt) with the Wolf Pack. Brown recorded 47 tackles for Nevada last season in the most extensive playing time of his career. Among his six passes defended was his first career interception.

Chad Browns final game with the Wolf Pack came against new Purdue coach Barry Odom and UNLV. He recorded one tackle and the Rebels won, 38-14.

Brown joines Tony Grimes (UNLV) and Ryan Turner (Boton College) as cornerbacks joining Purdue out of the transfer portal. The Boilermakers are also bringing on safeties Tahj Ra-El (Memphis), Richard Toney Jr. (TCU) and Crew Wakley (BYU).

Four cornerbacks who started games for Purdue last season left via transfer, including Botros Alisandro (Old Dominion), Tarrion Grant (Texas Tech), Joseph Jefferson II (Western Michigan) and Nyland Green (uncommitted).
