Preston North End, Cardiff and Plymouth Argyle learn transfer asking price for Brighton sensation

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Marc Leonard’s valuation for the summer has surfaced, as per reports. Leonard, who has been associated with a potential transfer to Preston North End for the past year and a half, has garnered attention from various Championship teams and European clubs. A recent update from Football Insider suggests that Brighton is inclined to allow Leonard to leave if they receive the desired fee.

A report suggests that Brighton & Hove Albion could part ways with midfielder Marc Leonard for a transfer fee in the region of £300,000. Preston North End is reportedly interested in signing Leonard, but they face competition from Cardiff City and Plymouth Argyle. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano previously reported that Swansea City had also expressed interest in Leonard.

According to a report, Preston North End is one of the clubs interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Marc Leonard, who is valued at around £300,000. However, they face competition from Cardiff City and Plymouth Argyle, and Swansea City had also shown interest earlier this year. Portsmouth was also linked with Leonard, but it is said that they are not currently pursuing a move. Preston North End is expected to be active in the summer transfer window, as they did not sign any players during the January window. Manager Ryan Lowe had planned to hold a meeting about transfers for the upcoming season this week, but he is considering rescheduling it after their loss to QPR.

Marc Leonard, a midfielder on loan at Northampton Town for the second consecutive season, has been a standout performer for the club. He was named Player of the Year by both the supporters and his peers, having played in all of Northampton’s matches and contributing six assists and five goals in 45 appearances. The 22-year-old has been instrumental in Northampton’s potential top-half finish in League One, following their promotion last season. However, a return to Sixfields for Leonard is unlikely at this stage, given the growing interest in him from Championship clubs and the possibility of Brighton cashing in on a player who has not featured much for them.
