Just In, Pitt Receive Massive Commitment News over NC State, Wake Forest & USF
Booker three-star wide receiver Dylan Wester has committed to Pittsburgh, he announced on Friday.
He chose the Panthers while also holding offers from NC State, Wake Forest, USF and others.
Wester is the No. 642 overall prospect and No. 103 WR in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 95 player in Florida.
The 5-foot-9, 160-pounder becomes commit No. 3 for head coach Pat Narduzzi and the Pitt staff this cycle. He joins Southlake (Texas) Carroll three-star quarterback Angelo Renda and Westerville (Ohio) South safety Isaac Patterson, both of whom also pledged this year.
As a junior for Booker, Wester caught 37 passes for 675 yards and six touchdowns, per MaxPreps. He was also a special teams threat, tallying 324 punt return yards.

Pittsburgh Panthers women’s basketball received an enormous boost early this week. On Wednesday, five-star recruit Nylah Wilson officially announced her commitment to the University of Pittsburgh women’s basketball program. Wilson made the announcement through her Instagram account and X, formerly Twitter.
”Grateful for opportunity to recommit to the University of Pittsburgh–excited for what’s ahead!” #H2P #Blessed
According to Josh Rowntree on 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh, Wilson is the highest rated recruit in the history of Panthers woman basketball. A 5’9″ guard, Nylah Wilson played for the famed IMG Academy in Florida during her senior year after transferring from Thomas Dale High School in Virginia.
ESPN has her rated as the 28th best prospect nationally, with On3 ranking her as 34th on the national level. Wilson was also recruited by powers such as Arizona, Auburn, Baylor, Mississippi, Penn State, St. Johns, and Texas A&M.
Before the end of 2024, she initially committed to Auburn. When the Tigers fired coach Johnnie Wilson after the season, Wilson would reopen her recruiting. Just nine days after reevaluating her decision with Auburn, Wilson announced her new commitment to the University of Pittsburgh. The Panthers finished with a 13-19 overall record this past season, going 5-13 in ACC competition.
They were a respectable 9-7 at home but only 4-8 on the road. Pitt’s season ended with a loss to Virginia in the first round of the ACC tournament. After the season, Pitt center Khadija Faye declared for the WNBA Draft.
Faye was the most productive player for the Panthers this past year. Nylah Wilson is the level of recruit that can elevate a program. She’ll have the opportunity to do just that for Pittsburgh, which hasn’t had a winning season since 2014-15.
More on Pitt Recruiting
In the 2025 cycle, Pitt signed the nation’s No. 55 class, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. The class did not feature a blue-chip signee, though the Panthers did do well recruiting the Sunshine State.
Ocoee (Fla.) three-star cornerback Joshua Guerrier was the top-ranked signee, checking in as the No. 501 recruit and No. 46 CB in the cycle. He was one of a whopping eight prospects out of Florida to sign with Pitt, alongside the likes of Daytona Beach Spruce Creek three-star WR Tony Kinsler, Miami Palmetto three-star WR Cameron Sapp and Tampa Plant three-star tight end Max Hunt.
Guerrier was also one of four listed defensive backs to sign with the ACC program. Fishers (Ind.) Hamilton Southeastern three-star CB Mason Alexander and Haymarket (Va.) Battlefield three-star safety Cole Woodson were among the DBs to also ink with Narduzzi and Co.
Other top signees in the class include: Roswell (Ga.) three-star athlete Synkwan Smith, Oregon (Ohio) Clay three-star quarterback Mason Heintschel, Olney (Md.) Good Counsel three-star linebacker Justin Thompson, Chesterfield (Va.) Matoaca three-star WR Bryce Yates and Pittsburgh Thomas Jefferson three-star interior offensive lineman Shep Turk.
