Philadelphia Eagles working on a long-term deal for WR 25-year-old brilliant star

The Philadelphia Eagles have granted contract extensions to several players this offseason. Could the next one be a former standout from Alabama? Landon Dickerson, a graduate of the University of Alabama, became the most highly compensated offensive guard in the NFL.

He previously served as the starting center for the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship team for the Crimson Tide, alongside DeVonta Smith, the Heisman Memorial Trophy winner, as the wide receiver. DeVonta Smith, a first-round selection in the 2021 NFL Draft, has blossomed into a standout receiver for the Eagles. Known as “Skinny Batman,” the dynamic playmaker has achieved consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons within three years. In 2023, Smith matched his career best for touchdown receptions (seven) and amassed 1,066 yards on 81 receptions.

As a former two-time national champion, he may be in line for a substantial contract extension from the Eagles.

According to ESPN’s Eagles reporter, Tim McManus, Howie Roseman, the Eagles’ general manager, sees Smith as a player they are keen on retaining.Reportedly, Philadelphia is negotiating a deal that could see Smith earning 25,30 million), Davante Adams (Las Vegas Raiders, 2826.7 million), and his fellow teammate, A.J. Brown ($25 million). Smith and Brown are regarded as one of the NFL’s premier wide receiver duos.

Hopefully, the Eagles can finalize a long-term agreement with Smith.
