The upcoming season is set to be significant for the Clemson Tigers.
After ending the 2023 season with a .500 record in ACC play, they made a remarkable comeback last year by winning the conference championship and securing a spot in the College Football Playoff.
Although they were eliminated by Texas in the first round of the CFP, this still represented progress compared to their performance since the 2020 season, leading to heightened expectations for the 2025 campaign.
The Tigers aim to build on this momentum and extend it into their recruiting efforts, strategically competing with other prominent programs for top prospects in the 2026 class.
One of these sought-after players is offensive lineman Grant Wise.
Rated as a four-star recruit by On3’s Industry Ranking and ranked as the 241st-best prospect in his class, he has narrowed down his list of top schools to five, which includes Clemson.

They will be competing against two SEC teams—Alabama and Tennessee—as well as major NIL spenders Miami and Oregon to recruit the 6-foot-3, 300-pound athlete.
Clemson is a program he reportedly highly values, and following visits to both the Crimson Tide and Volunteers this spring, Wise has scheduled a trip to Death Valley on March 8, as noted by Hunter Shelton of On3.
This is a promising development for the Tigers.
At this point, no official visits have been arranged, so a successful trip that weekend could help secure a spot on Wise’s important visit calendar when he is ready to start scheduling.
The Florida native is definitely one to watch as he prepares for his visit to Clemson, particularly since the Tigers currently have only one offensive lineman committed in the 2026 class.
