The Georgia Bulldogs are trending in the right direction to land the program’s quarterback of the future. While Georgia will have to find a solution for 2025, the Bulldogs are in the mix for a top five-star quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class. Georgia head coach Kirby Smart faces a decision at quarterback for next season. With Carson Beck transferring to the Miami Hurricanes, Gunner Stockton remains the favorite to be the team’s QB1 in 2025.
The Bulldogs also added four-star quarterback Ryan Montgomery in the 2025 class. Georgia is trending in the right direction for five-star signal-caller Jared Curtis. The Dawgs are looking to fight off other top programs like the Ohio State Buckeyes and Oregon Ducks for the Nashville Christian product. On3.com’s Steve Wiltfong believes Georgia has the edge on the field for the No. 1 ranked quarterback in the 2026 class.
“I do think the relationships are still strongest at Georgia,” Wiltfong wrote on Tuesday. “Offensive coordinator Mike Bobo spent nine hours with Curtis and his family on a recent in-home. Kirby Smart and Bobo will be back on Thursday.
“Proximity to home, competing for championships every year, the relationships with the staff and perhaps the cleanest depth chart of the three to compete right away within a talented roster have the Bulldogs in prime position. As of right now, in the end, I still like where UGA stands right now.”
The 6-foot-3, 225 pound quarterback’s NIL value is projected to be $482,000. This number could be on the rise the closer Curtis gets to being eligible to play college football.
