Penn State lands 3 on major preseason All-American lists before 2025 season

The Penn State 2025 hype train is already picking up steam. Three Nittany Lions earned preseason All-American status from the Walter Camp Foundation.
Senior running back Nick Singleton and senior defensive tackle Zane Durant received first-team recognition, while redshirt junior offensive lineman Vega Ioane landed on the second team.

Proud to continue to work of Walter Camp, "the father of American football" with the 136th All-American edition — the nation's oldest – later in 2025! https://t.co/6xaMMp2754 pic.twitter.com/IR33W6tEC2

Penn State, Alabama, Clemson, Texas and Indiana were the lone programs to place three players across the two lists.
As preseason awards lists and All-American representation continue to roll out for the 2025 season, Penn State is sure to be well-represented. Singleton and Durant, alongside classmates like Drew Allar, Dani Dennis-Sutton and Kaytron Allen, are likely to be frequently featured.
Singleton will look to establish himself as one of the 2026 NFL Draft’s best backs this season, finishing his first three years just over 1,000 yards shy of Evan Royster’s all-time rushing yards mark at Penn State. The senior has earned All-Big Ten honors in each of his first three campaigns, whether as a running back or kick returner. Formerly the Big Ten Freshman of the Year, Singleton finished 2024 with 1,099 yards and 12 touchdowns in 15 games.
Durant, who announced his 2025 return just days before Singleton in January, has twice been an All-Big Ten honorable mention. The interior anchor finished 2024 with 42 tackles, three sacks and a pass breakup.
Finally, Ioane returns after All-Big Ten second-team honors in 2024. The swing guard has provided versatility and power in the run game across 33 games and 21 starts in his career.
