Ohio State football coach Ryan Day shared updates on the team’s injuries as they prepare to face Purdue.
Defensive tackle Tyleik Williams is expected to be available following an ankle injury sustained late in Saturday’s victory against Penn State. He has started six of the team’s eight games this season and previously missed time due to other injuries. Williams recorded 21 tackles and 2.5 sacks this year.
In contrast, tight end Will Kacmarek is recovering from an injury he sustained during a loss on October 12 and is still a couple of weeks away from returning. Day noted Kacmarek is healing quickly, but he has only played three snaps this season and has recorded five catches for 58 yards.
During the game against Penn State, three tight ends contributed to the team’s performance, with starter Gee Scott logging the most snaps at 54, followed by Bennett Christian with 25 snaps, and Jelani Thurman with five.
