The Ohio State Buckeyes have yet to land a verbal commitment from an offensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class. The program will continue waiting. On3’s Steven Wiltfong reported on March 7 that Ohio State recruiting target and four-star offensive lineman Adam Guthrie committed to the Clemson Tigers.
“He chooses to play for [Dabo] Swinney and company over Ohio State, Penn State and a slew of others,” wrote Wiltfong. Guthrie’s other suitors included the Penn State Nittany Lions, Georgia Bulldogs, Miami Hurricanes, Oregon Ducks, Auburn Tigers and Texas A&M Aggies.
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Guthrie is the No. 20 ranked offensive tackle in the 2026 recruiting class.
The 247Sports composite rankings also has Guthrie placed as the No. 10 recruit in Ohio for the 2026 class. The offensive line product is considered a top 250 recruit in the class as well.
