North Carolina Makes Early Move to Land Key Commitment from Brother of Former UNC Star Armando Bacot

Recruitment of King Bacot, Brother of Former UNC Star Armando Bacot, Has Begun
It’s noteworthy that he hasn’t yet started high school!

King Bacot, an eighth grader, recently announced he received his first Division I offer from VCU. Although it’s very early for recruiting rankings for the Class of 2029, Bacot is considered by many to be the top-ranked player in that class.

After missing out on Armando Bacot, VCU is already taking steps to change the narrative this time. Given Armando’s success with the UNC basketball program, it’s understandable that VCU wants to persuade King to pursue his college career in North Carolina.

This is likely the first of many scholarship offers he will receive, and there’s hope that one from the UNC basketball program will come soon. Although his college career is still years away, fans are excited about the possibility of another Bacot family member joining UNC in the future.

The timing of VCU’s offer indicates their desire to avoid repeating history. Many hope King Bacot will continue the family legacy and eventually play in Chapel Hill.

Apologies to VCU, but it seems only fitting that King Bacot follows in his brother’s footsteps.
