Nolan Arenado continues to etch his name into the record books with each game he plays. In the second game of a doubleheader against the Chicago White Sox, the standout slugger and defensive standout crushed his 350th career home run. Over the years, he’s delivered plenty of memorable moments in a St. Louis Cardinals uniform.

Cardinals news: Nolan Arenado's home run achievement has fans buzzing

It’s a bit unfortunate that such a significant milestone came in front of a sparse crowd rather than a packed house at Busch Stadium. Still, the milestone ball will be preserved, and Arenado joins an elite group of players who’ve reached 350 career homers. He becomes the sixth active player to achieve this, alongside Manny Machado and Freddie Freeman, who recently hit the mark as well. Giancarlo Stanton leads the group with 429, followed by Mike Trout (389), Paul Goldschmidt (369), Machado (353), and Freeman (352).

350 career homers for Nolan Arenado!

The achievement sparked plenty of reactions from fans and baseball communities across social media.

Lighthouse Media provided some more context on the milestone.

There’s no question that Nolan Arenado is on track to be a first-ballot Hall of Famer when his playing days are over. With 10 Gold Gloves, 8 All-Star selections, 5 Silver Sluggers, and three NL home run titles, his resume speaks for itself. The only thing missing from his impressive career is a World Series ring. At 34, he still has several strong years ahead of him.

Nolan Arenado is the 11th primary third baseman in MLB history to reach 350 career homers.

Active HR leaders:

Mike Trout – 390
Paul Goldschmidt – 370
Manny Machado – 353
Freddie Freeman – 352

Coming into the matchup against the White Sox, Arenado had recorded eight home runs, 36 RBIs, and a .686 OPS. He’s been working to boost that OPS and return to the power-hitting form fans are used to seeing from him. This home run could be the spark he needs to regain that momentum.

That is Nolan Arenado's 350th career homer, putting him with elite company among third basemen.

(He was also there with 349, but we dig round numbers.)#stlcards #Cardinals #MLB #HOF
