Just In: UCLA football has secured a commitment from highly-rated 4-star safety from Pittsburgh

Safety Jadyn Hudson has opted for UCLA due to its familial atmosphere and Coach Foster’s infectious energy, rejecting offers from prominent programs.

Four-star recruit Jadyn Hudson, hailing from Pittsburgh High School in California, has officially committed to UCLA football. Standing at 6-foot-2, Hudson paid a visit to the Bruins on May 31 and swiftly made his decision to become a part of the team within a month. He is set to join the Class of 2025.

The welcoming atmosphere and high level of excitement solidify the agreement

The allure of a close-knit community and spirited enthusiasm solidify the commitment. UCLA’s defensive backs coach Brian Norwood actively pursued Hudson, who ultimately selected UCLA over offers from prestigious programs such as Arizona, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, USC, and Washington.

The impact of UCLA’s coaching team, particularly head coach DeShaun Foster and Coach Norwood, greatly influenced Hudson’s choice. The family-centered ethos of the coaching staff deeply resonated with Hudson and his family, leading them to view UCLA as the perfect match.

“I feel like the biggest reason I picked UCLA is because of Coach [DeShaun] Foster and Coach [Brian] Norwood and how family-oriented they are,” Hudson said, via 247 Sports’ Brandon Huffman.

“I knew it was the place for me when while I was on my official visit,” Hudson added. “I told Coach Norwood and Coach Foster. They were real fired up and they still are till this day. The coaches played a big role. Each coach I talked to was really genuine and my parents and I got a really good vibe from all of them. My family was real excited and happy for me.”

Hudson’s decision is further evidence of UCLA’s successful recruiting under Foster’s leadership as head coach. The Bruins are steadily establishing a solid base for the future by attracting promising talents such as Hudson.
