News Update: The chicago white Sox Again Have Received More Disappointing Injury News Concerning A top-60 Prospect With Influential potential
On Tuesday morning, we received an unfavorable update regarding Chicago White Sox pitcher Drew Thorpe, indicating that he might start the season on the injured list.

However, by later that day, the news improved, suggesting he may not be too far from returning.
According to Scott Merkin of MLB.com on social media, Drew Thorpe is feeling good, as reported by Getz: “He’s currently playing catch. He’ll be on a mound soon. We do expect him to lag a bit behind some of the other starters, but we believe he will be active throughout Spring Training.”

Thorpe underwent surgery to remove bone spurs from his right elbow during the offseason. While he may still miss some time at the start of the year, the initial concerns about a longer absence may not be as significant as previously thought.
In his nine starts last season with the White Sox, he recorded a 3-3 record with a 5.48 ERA. Not known for his velocity, he struck out 25 batters in 44.1 innings. At the time of his MLB debut in June, he was considered a top-60 prospect in the league and was acquired by the White Sox in the trade that sent Dylan Cease to the San Diego Padres.
While Thorpe recovers, the White Sox might look to Jonathan Cannon for support. With the departure of ace Garrett Crochet this offseason, the team currently lacks a true ace. Although top prospects Noah Schultz and Hagen Smith have the potential to become aces, they aren’t expected to be on the roster when the team breaks camp; however, Schultz may make his debut later in the season.
