Beck promised the Georgia fans to be there, rooting for the boys on Wednesday when Georgia heads to face Notre Dame in a quarterfinal matchup at the Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. But what really forced Beck to embrace professional football even though he has one year left in his collegiate eligibility?
”I think it was time for him to move on like from college. I think that his profile notoriety and just kind of his life is more that of a professional football player at this point than a college football player,”UGA insider Graham Coffey says.
”That’s not his fault. It’s because he’s been successful at the college level, right? It’s not like he’s been a bad teammate or anything like that, but like the stuff, that the life he’s living is, I think, harder and harder for the other 85 guys in the locker room may relate to, and I think about him and what he wants to do this is a good thing. He can kind of move forward and have the experience of being an NFL quarterback. He’s got more than enough tape,” Graham dug deeper into Beck’s NFL rationales

However, history didn’t repeat as Beck finished with 3,485 passing yards, 28 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions, 11 of which he threw during a five-game mid-season stretch.
