College football analyst Andy Staples recently weighed in on Raiola’s potential, sharing his insights during a new episode of the HuskerOnline podcast released on Saturday.

When asked about Dylan Raiola’s upcoming second season at Nebraska, Andy Staples noted, “We haven’t seen him as a sophomore yet. The biggest development for quarterbacks usually happens between their first and second years as starters. So let’s see what he does this season.”

As a freshman, Raiola threw for 2,819 yards, recording 13 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, and posted a quarterback rating of 63.8. He helped lead Nebraska to a 20-15 victory over Boston College in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl.

How Will Sophomore Season Go For Nebraska QB Dylan Raiola Under New OC?

This year, Raiola will be working with a new offensive coordinator, Dana Holgorsen, who joins Matt Rhule’s staff. With Holgorsen’s extensive experience in college football, fans are hopeful that his leadership will help sharpen Raiola’s performance and decision-making on the field.

The Cornhuskers will aim to improve on their 7-6 record from 2024, including a 3-6 finish in Big Ten play—something Rhule, Holgorsen, and Raiola will look to turn around with more dynamic and consistent execution.
